Your wedding playlist is of the utmost importance for the success of your big day. After all, you want to be surrounded by the music that represents you and which makes you happy – and while you will surely hire a talented DJ, it is still very important to communicate with him and let him know the songs to play at the wedding.

How to manage your wedding playlist? We’ve gathered some essential tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  • The “want” list. Include here all the songs you really want your DJ to play at the wedding. A good part of these songs will be the ones you really want to play on the background of all those magical micro-events incorporated in the big day. Others, however, will be the songs you simply love and which represent you and your personalities.
  • The “might” list. Include here the songs you love, but which aren’t as important as the ones included in the first list. If your DJ has the time and if it flows well with the overall vibe of the party, these songs will be played as well. However, they are not absolutely compulsory.
  • The “no” list. Include here all the tunes you really hate, regardless of the reason. This is your wedding and you are completely right to want to do things your own way. If you want to, you can actually ask your DJ not to take guest requests involving these songs.
